AGNES ROMBOUGH
1918 - 2013


Agnes Beatrice Rombough, beloved wife of the late Clifford Rombough, passed away in Taber on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the age of 95 years.
A private service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, Taber on Monday, November 4, 2013. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Agnes is survived by her children Russell (Doreen) Rombough of Lethbridge, Roxy Ferguson (Gail Fitch) of Taber, Roger (Barbara) Rombough of Lethbridge and Terry (Brenda) Rombough of Taber; twelve grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Agnes was predeceased by her husband Clifford Rombough, mother Emma Williams, father Elijah Williams, son-in-law Don Ferguson and her siblings and their spouses Ken (Frieda) Williams, Gordon (Alice) Williams and Gladys (William) Hart.

HOWARD RASH
1916 - 2013


Howard Lloyd Rash, beloved husband of the late Lilie Rash, passed away in Taber on Monday, September 23, 2013 at the age of 96 years.
The Funeral Service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Jim Chapman officiating. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Howard is survived by his son Doug (Joyce) Rash and son-in-law Len Fletcher all of Calgary; five grandchildren Heather (Andrew) Pagenkopf, Kathleen Rezansoff, Paula (Jason) Otte, Traci Rash, Chauncey (Heidi) Rash; nine great grandchildren Erika, Heidi, Jesse, Stephan, Amanda, Jesse, Brandon, Liam and Jonah. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased his wife Lilie Rash and their daughter Jennifer Fletcher; his sister and brother-in-law, Ruth (Ken) Campbell and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Harold (Georgina) Rash, William Rash and Thomas (Leota) Rash.
Howard was born in Purple Springs on November 14, 1916 to Esther (nee U’Ren) and Robert Rash. He married Eliza Emily “Lilie” Williamson in England on January 19, 1945 and returned to Canada in 1946 following the war. Howard and Lilie were involved in mission work with the Church of Christ for many years. Married life took them from England to Calgary, Grande Prairie and Weyburn, Saskatchewan while Howard served as a pastor. In 1965 they moved south of Purple Springs where they spent twenty seven years farming. In 1993, Howard and Lilie moved to Taber. In 2005, Lilie passed away and Howard moved to the Clearview Lodge where he has resided since.

David Loewen Reimer, beloved son of John and Susana Reimer, passed away in Calgary on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the age of 16 years.

The Funeral Service was held at the Old Colony Mennonite Church, Vauxhall (travel north of Vauxhall on Highway 36 ten kilometres, then nine kilometres west and finally one kilometre south of the Circle Hill Community Hall) on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Old Colony Mennonite Cemetery.

Rita Catherine Ressler, beloved wife of the late Jack Ressler, passed away in Taber on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the age of 84 years.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Vincent TuanHa, Celebrant. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Rita is survived by her eight children and their families, Phyllis (Frank) Carlsen of Taber and two sons Trevor Carlsen and Bryce Carlsen (daughter Talaina); Sandra (Mitch) Kano of Barnwell and three children Jesse Kano (Chantel Slovak) (children Keiran and Rayden), Nickie Kano (Paul Robb) and Michael Kano; Jackie Ressler of Taber and three children Holly Ressler (Craig Gough), Trina (Mark) Stevenson (children Curtis and James), Michael (Mandi) Bodnar (children Carlin, Allen and MacKaden); Sherry Meldrum of Claresholm and three children Tom (Angie) Meldrum (children Christopher and Michaela), Candace Meldrum (Dana Barbour) (son Jacob), Bradley Meldrum and their father Dean Meldrum; Timothy (Donna) Ressler of Grenfell, Saskatchewan and five children Erastus, Elias and Mason Aqecoutay and Sekwen, Dannica and Brage Ressler; Rodney (Marina Moore) Ressler of Taber; Cindy (David) Wilson of Taber and three children Tyler Wilson (Cristy Fernandez), Vanessa Wilson and Jennifer Wilson; Denny Ressler (Trish Reiling) and five children Kianna, Kaylynn, Colin, Justin and Tyson. Rita is also survived by her sister Agnes Binsfield of Watson, Saskatchewan, brother Laurence Kunz of Annaheim, Saskatchewan, sister-in-law Louise Kunz of Annaheim, Saskatchewan, brother-in-law Martin (Mary) Ressler of Calgary and by numerous nieces and nephews including Jeannette Payne and Linda Christensen both of Taber.
She was predeceased by her husband Jack Ressler; parents Mary (nee Raskob) and Michael Kunz; siblings Nick Kunz, Raymond (Solveig) Kunz, Alfred (Angie) Kunz, Ann Kunz, Leonard Kunz, Joe (Frances) Kunz and Gertrude (Hubert) Connelly; sister-in-law Marie Kunz and brother-in-law Mike Binsfield.
Rita was born in Watson, Saskatchewan on February 11, 1929 and was raised on the family farm. She came to Taber to visit her brother Alfred and his wife Angie and married Angie’s brother Jack on January 7, 1952. She remained in Taber and raised her family. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, puzzles and spending time with family and friends playing cards. She greatly enjoyed watching and cheering on her children and grandchildren as they played many different sports. Rita was a dedicated Toronto Maple Leaf fan. She was a hard worker and sacrificed much for her family. She will be greatly missed.

James Andrew Ross, beloved husband of Clare Ross of Balfour, British Columbia (formerly of Vauxhall), passed away at home on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the age of 90 years.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by Clare, his wife of sixty seven years and their sons Bruce Ross (Deborah Grant) of Balfour, British Columbia and James Ross Jr. of Sidney, British Columbia. He is also survived by his grandchildren Rachel Ross-Culligan, Melissa Clifford, Margaret Clifford, John Ross, James Ross and by his niece Valerie Davis.

Clifford Dennis Reynolds, beloved husband of the late Norma Reynolds, passed away in Lethbridge on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the age of 89 years.

The Funeral Service was held at the Enchant Community Hall, Enchant on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jeffery Frostad officiating. Burial followed at the Enchant Cemetery.
Dennis is survived by his children Dale (Helen) Reynolds of Vauxhall, Dean Reynolds (Sheri Gram) of Rocky Mountain House, Neil Reynolds of Calgary and Murray (Helen) Reynolds of Enchant; grandchildren Jennifer (Lyle) Broderson, Cherie (Trevor) Burke, Aubrey, Robin, Sara, Lewis, Brianne, Brooke and two great grandchildren Brittany and Brady Broderson. He is also survived by his sister Shirley Virostek; sister-in-law Lois Reynolds; brothers-in-law Allan Bryant, Jerold Bryant, Ross (Colleen) Bryant and Walter (Donna) Bryant; sisters-in-law Helen Bryant, Shirley Bryant and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Norma Reynolds; brother Roy Reynolds; sister-in-law Irene Reynolds; brother-in-law George Virostek; Norma’s brothers Vern Bryant, Ken Bryant, Elwood Bryant and Harold Bryant and her sisters-in-law Elsie Bryant and Connie Bryant.
Dennis was born in Picture Butte on September 7, 1923 to Cliff and Florence Reynolds. On October 18, 1947 he married Norma Bryant and they raised their family in the Enchant area, moving to the Town of Enchant in 1985. In 2006 they moved to Lethbridge where Dennis has resided since. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.

William Alexander Racz, beloved husband of Doreen Racz, passed away in Lethbridge with family by his side on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the age of 84 years.
The Burial Service was held at the Vauxhall Cemetery on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Elroy Senneker officiating.
Besides his loving wife Doreen, he is survived by their children Margaret Racz of Medicine Hat, Jody Elliott of Medicine Hat, Dwen (Margo) Miller of Tees, Reg (Deb) Miller of Anglemont, British Columbia, Rob (Lorraine) Miller of Sherwood Park, Kathy (Gerrit) Kuipers of Vauxhall, Patty (Birnie) Bornn of Red Deer and Verna (Monte) Wright of Calgary; his grandchildren Katherine, Christopher, Tide-Lynn as well as numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Shirley, Leslie, John, Ed, Marcy and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Margaret Racz; siblings Helen, Ida, Elsie, Stanley and Margaret and by his aunt Lizzy.
Better known as Bill or Pa, William was born on October 14, 1928 in Lestock, Saskatchewan. He Married his second wife Doreen Miller (nee Gehring) on April 24, 1976. Together they resided in Taber where he worked for Taber Feeds. William was involved with the Taber Food Bank and loved to have coffee with his friends at Rex Restaurant. He had a love for all animals, especially his dogs Casey and Belle. In 2005 they moved to Lethbridge where he has resided until the time of his passing. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

1922 - 2013


Maria Rochelle passed away unexpectedly in Taber on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the age of 90 years.
The Funeral Service was held at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Sandra Riddell officiating. A Burial Service was held in Carberry, Manitoba.
Mary is survived by her children Barbara (Conrad) Hirsch of Medicine Hat, Shirley (Brian) Taylor of St. Albert, Walter (Erika) Rochelle of Yorkton, Saskatchewan and Murray (Leslie) Rochelle of Taber. She is fondly and lovingly remembered by eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her siblings Sophia (Anthony) Nechwediuk of Sandy Lake, Manitoba, Steve (Jean) Melcosky of Whittier, California and Emily (Harold) Lane of Burnaby, British Columbia.
She was predeceased by her husband Peter W. Rochelle, four brothers and three sisters.
Mary was born to John and Petronella Melcosky at their family farm home in the rural municipality of Harrison, Manitoba near Sandy Lake, Manitoba on March 29, 1922. She moved from Carberry, Manitoba to Taber in May 2012 to be closer to her family. Mary resided at the Clearview Lodge where she enjoyed and appreciated her new acquaintances and the caring staff.

Jaire was the proud mother of three sons Riley (Justine) Rombough, Zach Murray, Joshua Murray and the loving grandmother of Kash Rombough, all of Taber. She will also be lovingly remembered by her parents Gerald and Marie Rombough of Taber; brother Ryan (Tammy) Rombough of Taber and their daughters Jaidee, Tori and Jazzy; sister Bona (Kevin) Schmidt of Hays and their sons Blake and Justin; brother Butch Rombough of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan. Jaire was born on February 29, 1968 in Taber and just celebrated her “eleventh” birthday this year. She received all her schooling in Taber at St. Pat’s and St. Mary’s graduating in 1985, the same year she was crowned Taber Rodeo Queen. Jaire was active in 4-H Horse Club and the Taber Roping Club. She obtained her PCA certificate and worked at the Alfred Egan Home and Taber Extended Care. She received her hairdressing certificate and worked at Headlines and then went on to various jobs including time keeper at Lamb Weston, eventually going back to her first love of nursing and was employed as a PCA with the Good Samaritans Society’s Linden View facility at the time of her passing.

Henry “Steely” Rempel, beloved husband of Betty Rempel (formerly Skelly) and the late Elizabeth Rempel, passed away in Taber on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the age of 79 years.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 - 9 Street North, Vauxhall on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. with Paster Elroy Senneker officiating. Burial to follow at the Vauxhall Mennonite Cemetery.
As well as his loving wife Betty, Steely is survived by his children Patty (Myles) Toews of Florence, South Carolina and their children Deanne (Jon), Justin, Rachael (Erik) and Lyndsay; Betty (George) Hiebert of Worsley and their children Nicole (Benjamin), Michelle, Brianne, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Melissa and Emily; Karen (Vic) Pankratz of Surrey, British Columbia and their children Jaline and Kyle; Tim (Jennifer) Rempel of Lethbridge. He is also survived by his siblings Bill (Marjorie) Rempel, Annie Hiebert, Jake (Rae) Rempel, Elsie Quiring and sister-in-law Lester Rempel.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of over fifty years, Elizabeth Rempel; parents Abram and Anna Rempel; brother Abe Rempel; brothers-in-law Dave Hiebert and Ted Quiring.
Steely was born in Bassano, Alberta on December 2, 1932. He grew up in the Gem/Rosemary area, and attended school in Clemenceau, Gem and Coaldale. After his school years he moved to Calgary where he met Liz Unruh. In 1957 they married and in 1958 they settled in Vauxhall where they raised their family.
While farming in Vauxhall, Steely was President of the Grazing Association, President of the Co-op and an Alberta Wheat Pool delegate for many years, as well as being heavily involved in the Mennonite Brethren Church. He enjoyed playing hockey and fastpitch. In his retirement years he acted as President of the Vauxhall Seniors’ Association, enjoyed playing crib and pool, as well as drinking coffee and visiting with his many friends.
Steely worked hard to provide for his family and showed much love, help and support over the years.
After the death of wife Liz in 2008, he found love again with Betty. They married in 2009 and their almost three happy years of marriage were full of travelling, visiting with family and spending time with friends at the Seniors’ Association.
Although he had heard the gospel as a child, Steely did not want to commit his life to the Lord; hockey was the most important thing to him. While he was at bible school in Coaldale, at age 18 he committed his life to the Lord Jesus Christ. It was a pivotal moment in his life and that decision showed itself in how he treated others and lived his life. Steely was known for his willingness to serve others, giving rides when needed, visiting people in hospital or Extendicare and helping friends and family whenever a need arose. He will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched.

Norma Ruth Reynolds, beloved wife of Dennis Reynolds, passed away in Lethbridge on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the age of 85 years.

Norma was born June 12, 1926 in Pickering Township, Ontario to Sydney and Elma Bryant. In 1929 her family moved out west and she attended school in Lone Star. On October 18, 1947 she married Dennis Reynolds and they raised their family in the Enchant area, moving to the Town of Enchant in 1985. In 2006 they moved to Lethbridge where Norma has resided since. She loved gardening, painting, quilting and crafts. Norma loved to dance. She also served on various community boards. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.

She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Rose Thielen; sisters Frances Wilson, Barbara Giroux and Alma Elliott; brothers-in-law Elmer Miller and Lucien Giroux.
Margaret was born in Lethbridge on August 18, 1932 to Albert and Rose Thielen. She graduated from the University of Calgary in 1952 with a teaching degree. Margaret married Charlie Roth on July 21, 1953 in Allerston. She began teaching in 1952 at the Thelma, Alberta Reserve School and later at the Hays School, St. Mary’s School and finally at St. Patrick’s School where she retired from in 1988. Margaret was an avid crocheter and painter, as well she enjoyed making cards for her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

1926 - 2012


Velma Viola Rumpel, beloved wife of the late George Rumpel, passed away in Taber on Friday, February 17, 2012 at the age of 85 years after a courageous forty five year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Foremost United Church, 202 - 2 Avenue East, Foremost on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Terry Shillington officiating. A private family burial will follow at the Foremost Cemetery.
Velma is survived by her daughters Carolyn Luca of Lethbridge and her children Devan and Briane Luca; Wanda Rumpel (Larry Hug) of Blue Ridge, Alberta and their children Chantelle, Crystle and Chelsea Hug; Joan (Larry) Smith of Taber and their children Julie (Darcy) Kloepper and Christine (Danny) Remfert (their children Avery and Anistyn); Beverly (Greg) Finstad of Fairbanks, Alaska and their children Brant (Regina) Finstad (their children Solveig and Eydis) and Krynn Finstad; son Raymond Rumpel of Foremost and his children Randi, Darbi and Jaryn Rumpel. She is also survived by her sister Gwen Duffy; brother William (Bill) Hockenhull; sister-in-law Isabelle Hockenhull as well as numerous other relatives.
She was predeceased by her husband George Rumpel; parents William and Ellen Hockenhull; son-in-law Allan Luca; brother Alfred Hockenhull; sister Hazel Orange; brothers-in-law Jim Orange and Howard Duffy.
Velma was born near Clive, Alberta on August 27, 1926. She was raised on the family farm and following high school attended Normal School at the University of Alberta. Velma taught for several years in various schools throughout Alberta. While teaching at Etzikom she met George Rumpel and they were married July 12, 1952. They farmed near Etzikom until retiring in 1979. She lived in Foremost and Bow Island until 2008 when she moved to Taber. For the last seventeen years she has resided in long term care in these communities.
Velma enjoyed gardening, knitting and reading but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will also be remembered for her fresh baking. Velma was actively involved in the Home and School Association for many years where she made many good friends. She will be lovingly remembered by all that knew her.

Gabrielle Marie-Jeanne Ragan (nee Massey), beloved wife of the late Daniel Ragan, passed away in Taber on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the age of 93 years.

She is survived by her children George (Sharon) Ragan of Magrath and children Aaron, Shawn and Jason; Danny Ragan of Australia and children Herman, Susana (Luke), Brendan and their mother Leonor; Brent (Gloria) Ragan of Calgary and children Adam and Nolan; Brenda (John) Wilkinson of Australia; son-in-law Alan Gorbich (Elaine) of Creston and his children Patrick (Veronica) and Danette (Rich). She is also survived by two great grandchildren Jared and Dana Gorbich; sisters in-law Ann Massey of Brooks, Mary Ragan of Penticton and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Daniel Ragan and daughter Diane Gorbich; sister Yvette Massey; brothers Roland, Marcel and Navarre Massey; two sisters-in-law Mary Massey and Ollie Massey.
Gay was born October 28, 1918 in Chinook, Alberta to Eugenie (nee Coderre) and Joseph Massey. She married Daniel Ragan while residing in Rainier and continued living there for a number of years before settling in Taber. She spent twenty five years as a school teacher. During her career, she taught in Rainier, Scandia and Taber.
Gay enjoyed painting, weaving, crocheting, knitting and gardening. She was a member of the Catholic Women's league, the Royal Canadian Legion and numerous other organizations.

Agnes Hellen Robertson (nee Dey), beloved wife of Art Robertson of Bow Island, passed away in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the age of 87 years.
The Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, 139 - 2 Avenue West, Bow Island on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Sheila McLeod officiating. A private family burial will follow at the Bow Island Cemetery.
Hellen is survived by Art, her loving husband of sixty years; she leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Harvey (Margaret) Robertson of Lethbridge and their children Brianne (Brian) Dand of Red Deer (children Riley, Carter and Brodie), Mandy (Pat) Foster of Squamish, British Columbia and Stacey Robertson (Cole Goodwin) of Red Deer; Bruce (Carla) Robertson of Bow Island and their children Colin (Tara) Robertson (children Aubrey and Rhett Robertson) and Kyle Robertson and his fiancé, Karmyn Repas all of Bow Island. She is also survived by her brother Tom (Amy) Dey; sisters Margaret Ryall, Betty Sjoquist and Cathryn (Pat) Desjarlais; sisters-in-law Margaret Tyler, Jennifer Robertson and Anne Robertson; brother-in-law Andy (Agnes) Robertson and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents William and Florence Dey; brother George Dey; brothers-in-law Charles Ryall, Albin Sjoquist; Art’s parents; Art’s brothers John, Warrender, Larry and Kenny Robertson and brother-in-law Max Tyler.
Hellen was born February 20, 1924 in Chauvin, the eldest child of William and Florence Dey. She grew up on the family farm and completed her schooling in Chauvin. Hellen worked in the Chauvin area as a babysitter/housekeeper until she went to Banff to work as a waitress at the King Edward Hotel. It was there she met Art, whom she married on November 12, 1951. They settled in Innisfail where their two sons, Harvey and Bruce were born. Hellen was a tireless volunteer with the Red Cross and Women’s Institute while in Innisfail. The family moved to Bow Island in 1967 and she continued her volunteer work. She was a founding member of the WI and Hospital Auxilliary. Hellen was a member of the UCW and canvassed for many other organizations. She was a loving Grandma, who always had homemade cookies, a smile and lots of hugs. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. Hellen enjoyed watching hockey and any sports or activities her grandchildren were involved in. Her garden was always abundant and her flowers brought her much enjoyment. Art and Hellen enjoyed camping and travelling to visit family in the summer and they spent many winters in the Arizona area. She was a kind hearted, gentle soul, who saw the good in everyone and who will missed by all who knew her.

It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Vivian Rombough (nee Collett) who passed away in Taber on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the age of 86 years with her daughter and grandchildren at her side.

She is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren, her sister Eileen Collett, her brother Robert Collett, sisters-in-law Daisy Collett, Mary Malinsky, Ruth Nawolski, Ellen Jensen, Agnes Rombough, brother-in-law Melvin Ronspies as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close relatives.
She was predeceased by her son David Blair; husband Archie; parents Morgan and Phoebe Collett; mother and father-in-law Sam and Jean Rombough; brother Harold Collett; great grandchildren Bret, Brentson, Alisa Lehman and numerous other relations.
Vivian was born in Taber April 17, 1925, the eldest daughter of Morgan and Phoebe (nee Wilson) Collett and received her schooling in Taber. She married Archie on February 19, 1944 and they were blessed with five children. Their early years were spent on the family farm south of Taber with a move into town after the death of their son Blair. Archie predeceased Vivian September 20, 1978. Her last twenty six years were spent in long term care at the Taber Continuing Care and with the last few months at the Linden View facility. We will treasure always the many care givers, volunteers and life long friends she made during her stays in both facilities.

Edna Mae Rarick, beloved wife of Edward Rarick of Foremost, passed away in Medicine Hat on Friday, August 19, 2011 at the age of 64 years.

Besides her loving husband Edward, she is survived by her daughters Angela (Garry) Baugh of Foremost and their children Troy Rarick (Crystal Harty), Tambie and Lacie Baugh; Patricia Kultgen of Nanaimo, British Columbia and her children Victoria, Taylor and Jacey Kultgen; mother Florence Huff of Calgary; brothers Lyle Huff of Glasgow, Montana, Leslie “Ray” Huff of Strathmore; sisters Diane Havery of Strathmore, Mert Huff of Medicine Hat, Peggy (Gerald) Boschee of Medicine Hat and Donna (Terry) Cotton of Calgary. Edna is also survived by her mother-in-law Kay Rarick of Foremost; sisters-in-law Isabel (Alvin) Bechthold of Lacombe and Charlotte (Robert) Herbst of Medicine Hat; brothers-in-law George (Donna) Rarick of Legion, Rod (MaryAnne) Rarick of Leduc and Roger (Lori) Rarick of Foremost as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father Raymond Huff; father-in-law Tony Rarick; brothers-in-law Barry Rarick and Bob Havery.
Edna was born in Rosetown, Saskatchewan on October 4, 1946 to Raymond and Florence Huff. She was raised and educated Hoping and Foremost. Edna married Edward Rarick on October 24, 1964 and they resided in Foremost where they raised their family. In 2003 Edna moved to the Riverview Care Centre where she has resided until the time of her passing. Edna worked as an insurance agent for many years with Griffiths Agencies and later with Foremost Agencies. Edna was actively involved in the Brownies serving as Brown Owl for many years. She enjoyed curling, knitting, crocheting, playing cards, bingo and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

Mildred is survived by her children Larry Rodwell of Edmonton, Shirley (Syd) Butler of Olds, Judy (Rick) Scott of Penhold, Tom (Loree) Rodwell of Taber, Doug (Joanne) Rodwell of Jasper; twelve grandchildren Stephanie (Scott) Hanson, Adam VanderHook, Justin VanderHook, Rhonda (Brian) Gulbe, Ron Butler, Chad (Karmin) Scott, Lea (Chez) Scott, Tyler Rodwell, Derek Rodwell, Ashley Rodwell, Breanne Rodwell and Wyatt Rodwell; two great grandchildren Dolan Butler and Amber Gulbe.

Mildred was born in Lethbridge on January 11, 1933 to Roy & Leana Handley. She married Don Rodwell on June 14, 1952 and together they raised their six children in Taber. After ill health in the spring of 2002, she moved to the Olds and Innisfail area to be closer to her family and has resided there until the time of her passing.

She is also survived by four sisters Helen Kornelsen of Steinbach, Mary (Ken) Loewen of Blumenort, Elma Plett of Steinbach and Annie (Elden) Penner of Giroux; four brothers Tony Kornelsen of Steinbach, Henry (Tina) Kornelsen of Steinbach, Cornie (Linda) Kornelsen of Winnipeg and Harvey Kornelsen of Abbotsford; two sisters-in-law Darlyne Kornelsen and Adina Kornelsen both of Winnipeg as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four children Sylvia (1969), Ivy (1970), Alex (1971) and Lionel (1973); two brothers Bill Kornelsen and Alvin Kornelsen; three sisters-in-law Mary Kornelsen, Elizabeth Kornelsen, Yvonne Kornelsen and brother-in-law Stan Plett.
Tina was born April 25, 1939 in Giroux, Manitoba - the ninth of eleven children born to Annie (nee Warkentine) & George Kornelsen.
Tina met Elvin Reimer and they married in 1961. Their family quickly grew by five children; Sylvia arrived in 1963, Alex in 1964, Ivy in 1964, Lionel in 1967 and Andy in 1968. Between 1969 and 1973, Tina and Elvin lost “Four Buds in their Bouquet” when Sylvia, Ivy, Alex and Lionel were all lost to heart disease. Tina cried, but never lost hope, faith or her sense of humour. Amy arrived in 1971, Dorita in 1974 and Robert in 1977. Grandchildren began arriving in 1995.
In 1995 Tina was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease - something she knew very well after having cared for Parkinson’s patients as a home care worker and nurse. Parkinson’s took so much, but never her love for Elvin, her children, her grandchildren or her extended family. She never complained through it all.
